Project Phase: Design
For the past few years, the local project team has been working with Lewisdale Elementary to design a patio and pergola for an outdoor learning space. The patio will provide a flat surface to place tables and chairs, and the pergola will provide shade and rain protection. The patio and pergola have been fully designed, and the team is currently in the process of acquiring a permit to build these.
While the team is waiting for permits to go through, they have started another project with Green Farmacy Garden, a plant sanctuary in Maryland.
The local project team is working with Green Farmacy Garden to build a greenhouse and solar array. They are working on designing and constructing an insulated greenhouse that can survive the cold winters and connecting it to a nearby creek for water access.
