Talya joined EWB in her sophomore year and has been with the Nicaragua project ever since. She is on the travel team, hoping to travel in Summer 2023 with the team to implement a latrine system. She enjoys the hands-on, collaborative experience that EWB offers. Other than EWB, Talya works in two research labs, and takes on leadership roles for her honors college, Gemstone. In her free time, she loves doing the rock wall on campus with friends.
