Annushka joined EWB in her freshman year hoping to gain experience in tackling sanitation and water access challenges, and has remained an active member of the Nakifuma, Uganda project ever since. On the Nakifuma project, Annushka works with fellow project team members to design a water tower for the St. Anne Grace School in Nakifuma, and served as the water systems subteam lead for a year. She traveled to the community in Spring, 2023 for an assessment trip, and plans to travel again in Winter, 2023 for an implementation trip. Annushka also served as EWB’s Social Media/Technology Chair for 1.5 years prior to becoming president, and developed the current chapter-wide water testing & treatment workshop. Outside of EWB, Annushka is involved in student research, ASCE, and the Beekeeping Club, among other activities, and loves cats, badminton, and taste-testing all the wonderful things her roommate bakes.
